Before the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette, the Nash-Healey became the first American sports car, post-World War II, to captivate American buyers enamored with speed.

While original 1951 examples were fabricated by Birmingham-based Panelcraft Sheet Metal, Carrozzeria Pinin Farina took charge of the Nash-Healey's styling from 1952 onward.

The revised Nash-Healey featured a distinct new grille with Nash's now-signature inboard headlights, as well as more defined fender lines that ended in small fins at the Nash's tail.

The Nash-Healey's Dual Jetfire inline-six-sourced from the Nash Ambassador-was enlarged to 252 cubic inches, now producing 140 horsepower thanks to twin Carter carburetors, and was fitted to a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

This Nash-Healey Convertible is one of just 162 examples produced in 1953 out of a total of just 506 cars built over the Nash-Healey's four-year run.
