Conceived at the dawn of the 21st century, the Ford GT emerged as a statement of intent rather than a nostalgic exercise-an unapologetic return to the spirit that once humbled Ferrari at Le Mans.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary GT40 without attempting to replicate it outright, the GT combined unmistakable heritage cues with contemporary engineering.

Power came from a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 fitted with a Lysholm Twin-Screw supercharger, delivering 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque.

Routed through a Ricardo six-speed manual gearbox and a helical limited-slip differential, the result was genuine supercar performance, with the run to 60 mph taking 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 205 mph.



A Marti Report sourced from internal Ford production information shows the Ford left the Wixom Plant on 21 April 2005 finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with White racing stripes.
