The 1953 Cadillac Eldorado was far more than a special edition-it was a true dream car, its Harley Earl styling drawn almost directly from the Motorama show car that had originally captivated the public, and one of the three most exclusive models from General Motors' prestigious "Triple Crown." Costing twice the price of a Coupe de Ville, each of the 532 examples was hand-built at a dedicated facility and featured a lowered convertible body, dramatic cut-down doors, a fully disappearing top under the integrated boot, and the first wrap-around windshield and visored dashboard ever fitted to an American production car.

Inside, the Eldorado continued its bespoke character with lowered seats, embossed stainless door trim, unique sun visors, and sliding interior door handles reminiscent of Cadillac's Motorama show cars.
