As noted on its original sales invoice, this exceptional 250 S was sold new by Garage SAP of Tielt, Flanders, Belgium, and purchased new by its original owner on 5 July 1966.

Befitting the S-Class, the car was specified in Black (040) over a stunning Red MB-Tex interior.

Over the next 24 years, the car was maintained to the highest level while its use remained limited.

Never driving the car without gloves, they would turn around at the sight of rain to keep the car clean and dry.

So fanatically about keeping the car as clean as possible, they even requested that the top part of the rear bumper be slightly raised by the dealer to make it easier to clean.

Additionally they requested a second fog light be added to the rear to bring a sense of symmetry to the singular one required by the Belgium government.

Upon his passing in 1990, the car saw limited use by their son, with the last service recorded in June 1993.
