This 1970 Porsche 911S coupe was built into a race car more than two decades ago in collaboration with Craig Watkins, founder of Smart Racing Products.

Power comes from a replacement 2.2-liter flat-six linked with a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle and a ZF limited-slip differential, and equipment includes a Cup-style roll cage, a ducktail spoiler, Sparco racing seats, and extensive chassis upgrades from Smart Racing and other suppliers.

Jim Buckley, who later established Buckley Racing, drove the car in PCA Club Racing events throughout the country starting in 2001, setting G-class lap records at courses such as Texas Motor Speedway and Mid America Raceway.
