The racing equipment was removed, and the family retained the car until 2019, when it was sold and relocated to Florida.
Subsequent work involved rebuilding the fuel injection system, distributor, and generator, and replacing the exhaust manifolds, exhaust system, plug wires, spark plugs, fuel tank, fuel sender, and fuel lines.
