The car has undergone a comprehensive custom build, winning an award at SEMA. While it features high-quality components and has low mileage since the build, the description highlights numerous modifications and custom work rather than pristine original condition. It's in excellent condition as a custom build, but not 'pristine' in the sense of an unmodified classic.

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe has been re-imagined by designer Mark Harlan as a “what-if?” Le Mans car inspired by the mid-engine Ford GT and the vision of Zora Arkus-Duntov, who had long championed such a layout.
The build was performed by Phil Sommers at American Supercar of Spring Hill, Florida, and was completed in time for the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where it won the award for Best GM Vehicle.
Work included lengthening the wheelbase, shortening and widening the body, moving the cabin forward, and mid-mounting a twin-turbocharged LS1 V8 paired with a Mendeola five-speed sequential transaxle.
