AI Listing Summary

This 1958 Plymouth Savoy Club Sedan has had a significant body-off refurbishment and mechanical rebuilds, featuring a desirable V8 engine and push-button transmission. While presented in a striking two-tone teal and ivory, it does have some noted cosmetic imperfections and age-related wear on tires and interior components.

Condition

6

The car has undergone a body-off refurbishment and engine/transmission rebuild, which is excellent. However, there is evidence of body filler, cracks in the drip-rail sealant, misaligned wheel hub, aged tires causing vibration, a non-functional clock, a steering wheel that is 90° off-center, and staining on the headliner. These issues, while not catastrophic, indicate moderate wear and require some reconditioning.

This 1958 Plymouth Savoy club sedan underwent a body-off refurbishment in 2014 and was purchased by the seller in 2018.

Its 318ci “poly” engine and push-button TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission were rebuilt during the refurbishment, and the body was refinished in two-tone teal and ivory over a matching reupholstered interior.

Aftermarket five-spoke 15″ wheels and a dual exhaust system also have been installed.

Work performed under current ownership included adapting electronic ignition, rebuilding the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, refinishing the brake drums and replacing the shoes, and installing a hidden Bluetooth-compatible radio.

This two-door Savoy is now offered with an Illinois title in the seller’s name.
