This 1954 Studebaker Champion Starlight coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2014 and built into a race car with a NASCAR Cup-style tubular steel chassis at David’s Racing Products in Salida, California.

Nicknamed “Pearl,” the car first participated in the 2017 Chihuahua Express before participating in La Carrera Panamericana, where it placed 22 overall.

Later that year, it endured the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, completing 300 laps and placing 17 in its class.
