This 1943 Ford GPW was purchased by the seller in 2020 and underwent a subsequent overhaul that included rebuilds of the 134.2ci inline-four, three-speed manual transmission, transfer case, and axles completed by Jimmy Strauss Jeeps of Placerville, California.
The body was stripped and repainted in olive drab green, and replacement military-style lettering and stars were applied to the body.
Further elements include a folding green soft top, a rear-mounted jerrycan and spare tire holder, a shovel and axe affixed to the body, 16″ steel wheels, Firestone tires, manual windshield wipers, and passenger retention straps.
The individual front seats and rear bench wear green canvas, and the instrumentation was replaced during the build.
