Chassis 13159 is said to have remained under long-term ownership in San Diego until being purchased several years ago by a Southern California collector who initiated a multiyear mechanical refurbishment.
The project was revived in 2021 and lasted through its completion in 2022.
Work included an overhaul of the 4.4-liter Colombo V12, rebuilds of the triple Weber carburetors and other ancillaries, a reseal of the five-speed manual transmission, and the refinishing of mechanical components.
