This Ascari F/GT was ordered new by the seller from Noble MotorSports in 1996 during a visit to Noble’s facility in Leicestershire, England, and was delivered to Noble’s US facility as a rolling chassis the following year.
After a delay during Noble’s unsuccessful pursuit of US DOT certification, the car was completed in late 1999 and delivered to the seller as a 2000 model-year US-market prototype without a serial number.
The car is said to have since remained in storage with periodic trailering to concours events over the years.
