This 1965 Aston Martin DB5 is one of approximately 900 coupes built during the model’s two years of production and is a left-hand-drive example that was ordered new by Saudi Arabian Prince Abdul Ilah bin Abdulaziz, to whom it was delivered at the Royal Palace in Jeddah.

Chassis DB5/2270/L subsequently made its way to the US, where it was sold in the early 1990s to a Florida owner who commissioned an overhaul of the 4.0-liter DOHC inline-six to Vantage specification in 1993.
