This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Cup 3.8 RSR is one of approximately 45 factory-built race cars produced between 1996 and 1998 for use in American IMSA and European and International GT racing.

Chassis 98077 was built on March 7, 1997 and delivered new to its first owner in Japan, where it was used in Porsche Club events in Suzuka and Fuji.

The car was sold approximately two decades later to a British collector before being shipped via air to the US in 2019.

Just under $200k of work was performed by Canepa of Scotts Valley, California, between 2021 and 2022, including retrofitting an electric air conditioning system, power windows, carpets, and door panels along with replacing the clutch components and alternator.
