The 317ci Y-block V8 and the four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission are both said to have been overhauled in 1988, and the car was refinished in red circa 1995.

The cabin was later reupholstered in red and black vinyl, and the car won a National First Prize from the Antique Automobile Club of America in 2007.

Work within the last year and a half has included fluids services, repairing vacuum leaks, wiring improvements, and rebuilding the power-steering box and pump.

This Capri Special Custom convertible is now offered by the selling dealer in Massachusetts with literature, awards, and a clean Michigan title.
