This steel-bodied speedster is said to have started life as a 1932 Auburn 8-100A that was built into a race car in the 1930s, and by the 1950s, it had been outfitted with a 320ci Buick Fireball inline-eight linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a Columbia two-speed rear end.

The car participated in vintage racing events into the 1990s, and in 2010, a refurbishment was carried out at California Classix in Ventura, California, that involved repairing and repainting the bodywork, refinishing the brightwork, overhauling the rear end, fabricating custom headers, and installing Dayton 20” wire wheels.
