This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible was sold new from Viking Oldsmobile Cadillac of Middletown, Rhode Island, in January 1970, and the original 455ci V8 was replaced with a 350ci unit after an engine failure in the mid-1980s.

The previous owner acquired the car in 1994, and subsequent refurbishment work performed between the mid-1990s and 2010 involved rebuilding and installing a replacement 455ci V8.

In 2018, the car was inspected by Cas-Am Performance and Restoration, and the resulting “Rocket Report” and opinion letter indicates that the car is believed to be a 442 W-30.

The current owner purchased the car in 2019, after which metal was repaired, the interior was re-trimmed, and the body was refinished in red with black stripes.
