It is one of 24 that were modified by Hennessey with their twin-turbocharged Venom 1000 package for the 8.3-liter V10, and it was then used in multiple tuner and supercar shootouts for magazines.
Driven by John Kiewicz, it won overall in the June 2006 cover-story shootout of tuner cars, and in September 2007 it was driven by Steve Millen in the cover-story supercar shootout for magazine.
Wearing a “Fly Navy” livery, the car posted a winning 0-200 time of 20.4 seconds – four seconds faster than second-place Bugatti Veyron – and a standing mile speed of 220.9 mph.
