This 1958 Devin SS was reportedly sold by Evans Industries to an Orange County doctor and is said to have been driven by Pete Woods and Lew Spencer in several SCCA events, including the Laguna Seca Invitational and LA Times Grand Prix, before being modified for drag racing in the 1960s.

Following a change of hands in the late 1970s, the car underwent a partial refurbishment before being stored through the mid-1980s.
