This 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC is a drophead coupe that was built on April 1, 1955, and delivered to its Chicago-based first owner via Max Hoffman in New York.

Chassis G293182 was purchased by the seller’s father in Los Angeles in August 1964 and placed into storage in 1972, where it remained until ownership was transferred to the seller in 2005.

A subsequent refurbishment performed by XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo was completed in 2006.

The work included resealing and repainting the 3.4-liter straight-six as well as installing a five-speed manual transmission and a custom driveshaft.

The car later received a repaint in its factory Lavender Grey along with red leather upholstery and a Fawn soft top.
