This 1948 Willys-Overland CJ-2A was the subject of a refurbishment in the late 1990s, with work that included rebuilding the 134.2ci inline-four and a repaint in Potomac Gray.

The truck was purchased by the seller circa 2019, and additional refurbishment work and modifications were carried out in the ensuing several years.

The engine was converted to 12 volts and PerTronix ignition, the three-speed manual transmission was fitted with a Saturn overdrive unit, the exhaust system was replaced, and the wiring was overhauled.

Further additions under current ownership have included four-wheel disc brakes, a dual brake master cylinder setup, a padded roll bar, and replacement seat foam, carpeting, and tires.
