This 1953 Ford Customline Country Sedan station wagon is an eight-passenger variant that was sold new at Balsiger Ford of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and remained with the original owner and his family in Oregon and then Oklahoma through 2006, when it was purchased by the current owner.

Following relocation to Virginia, the car underwent an 18-month refurbishment at Krolak Restorations in Sharpsburg, Maryland, that was completed in 2007 and was followed in 2009 by an appearance as a prop car in the romantic comedy film, .

The car subsequently changed hands but in 2021 was reacquired by its current owner, who commissioned a more detailed refurbishment that was carried out at Competition Motors of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
