This 1959 Mercedes-Benz 220SE was purchased by the seller’s grandfather, the owner of several car dealerships, sometime between 1980 and 1990.

In 2009, he engaged his staff at Aristocrat Volkswagen of Sanford to restore the car, and they completed the job that same year.

A more comprehensive description of the work is provided below and in documents pictured in the gallery.

The 220SE model was introduced in late 1958 as the final evolution of the Ponton platform’s six-cylinder variants.
