The B9 3.5/1 was introduced in 1983 and was highlighted by an Alpina-built 3.5L inline-six with a reworked cylinder head, a more aggressive camshaft, a remapped Motronic system, and Mahle pistons as well as a revised suspension, bodywork, and interior components.

This example was first delivered to Max Heidegger AG in Liechtenstein, and spent time in Switzerland before being exported in 2000 to the Netherlands, where it reportedly remained on display through its acquisition by the current owner in 2021.
