This 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III is one of approximately 727 examples of the third Phantom platform produced and is said to have been delivered new to a London owner in September 1937 with two-door Sedanca de Ville coachwork by Barker.
Chassis 3BT149 remained with its first owner for more than two decades before being purchased by an American bank president who is said to have commissioned a refurbishment in England that included a repaint in the current shade of brown.
After being imported to the US in 1961, the car was sold in 1967 to a collector who remained its steward for 55 years and reportedly drove it in several CCCA CARavan tours.
