Work included installing a 4L60E automatic transmission, a Ford 8.8″ rear end, and a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 fitted with flat-top pistons, a performance camshaft, LS7-style lifters, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, a Quick Fuel carburetor, and an MSD ignition control module.
The interior was refreshed with a reupholstered bench seat and Autometer gauges, and additional modifications include Mustang II front end suspension components, four-wheel disc brakes, and a wooden bed floor.
