Condition

While the car has been actively campaigned and features a recent engine overhaul, the presence of a wrap over a previous red finish, modifications like intrusion bars and roll bar adjustments, and the inclusion of spare parts suggest the car is in good, but not pristine, condition. The listing indicates the car has been refurbished, used in competition, and has some modifications.

This 1975 Lola T342 is one of approximately 92 examples built for Formula Ford competition and is said to have been imported to San Francisco, California, in 1979.

Chassis HU-144 was reportedly driven by Formula Atlantic driver Sandy Dells between 1980 and 1981 and subsequently changed hands three times before being purchased by a friend of the seller in 1993.

After several years in storage, the car was purchased in 2009 by the seller, who has since campaigned it in SVRA and VARA competition.

The fiberglass body wears a blue wrap inspired by the Sunoco livery of Mark Donohue’s Lola T153, while power is provided by a 1.6-liter Ford Kent cross-flow inline-four that was overhauled in 2024.
