The car was tested at Sonoma Raceway with ALMS driver Dominik Farnbacher in early 2008 and subsequently sold to the Falken Tire team prior to the 2009 IMSA season.
It was driven in three races by Bryan Sellers and Dominic Cicero as the Falken Tire #17 car and later used for tire development purposes by Falken.
The car participated in Rennsport VI in 2018 before it was purchased by the current owner in 2022.
