This 1958 Ferrari 250 GT is the 35 of 50 coupes bodied by Carrozzeria Ellena during a single year of production and was completed on March 9, 1958, for delivery in the US via Luigi Chinetti Motors in New York.

Chassis 0839 was sold new to shipping magnate and racing driver Harry Theodoracopulos, who retained it until its sale to drumming pioneer Gene Krupa circa 1964.

The car then spent several years in California before being purchased in 1986 by its current owner, who subsequently drove it in vintage racing events including the Walter Mitty Challenge, California Mille, and Louis Vuitton Classic China Run through the 1990s.
