This 1965 DKW-Vemag GT Malzoni is one of three fiberglass-bodied prototypes designed by Brazilian sports car builder Rino Malzoni and manufactured by the Lumimari Company for the Vemag Racing Team.
The car was subsequently piloted by Emerson Fittipaldi and Jan Balder in the 1966 Mil Milhas at Interlagos, where it lead for much of the race before salvaging a third-place finish having incurred a mechanical failure with three laps to go.
The car is said to have been sold at the conclusion of the 1966 season and was purchased from its previous owner in Brazil in 2016 by the seller, who imported it to the Netherlands.
