This 1966 McLaren-Elva Mark II is one of approximately 28 examples of the M1B built during two years of production and was purchased new by Hong Kong-born British racing driver David Prophet, who campaigned it in the UK throughout 1966.

Chassis 30-08 was acquired the following year by Swedish driver Picko Troberg, who prepared it for domestic sports car competition and raced it four times under sponsorship by the Swedish post office.

It was campaigned in Sweden through the remainder of 1967 by its next owner, who then raced it periodically into the 1970s before placing it in storage and later selling it in 2006.
