This 1968 Volkswagen Type 2 is a double-cab transporter that was delivered new to the Seattle, Washington area and was used as a luggage van by Pan Am Airlines, which was the largest air carrier in the United States prior to deregulation of the airline industry in the late 1970s.

Refinished in blue with Pan Am decals over a tan interior, the bus is powered by a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle.

Features include a canvas bed cover, fold-down bed sides, 14″ wheels with hubcaps, VDO gauges, and an AM/FM radio.

The bus was acquired by the seller—Malamut Auto Museum—in 2012, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

This Type 2 is now offered at no reserve with a California title in the name of the museum.
