This 1978 Lotus Esprit S1 was built in January 1978 and is said to have spent much of its life in California, where it remained until its acquisition by the Texas-based selling dealer.

Power is supplied by a 2.0-liter inline-four fitted with dual Weber carburetors and linked with a five-speed manual transaxle, and the car is finished in yellow with a Turbo-style body kit over black fabric upholstery.

Features include staggered-diameter basketweave wheels, an aluminum engine cover, RetroSound stereo, and pop-up headlights.

A mechanical refreshment was reportedly carried out in 2006, while more recent work in 2021 included replacement of the battery, cooling fan switch and seal, spark plugs, ignition wires, and clutch hydraulic cylinders.
