This 1946 Studebaker M5 pickup is said to have been stored in a dealership by the owner of Bergstrom’s Antique & Classic Autos in Port Townsend, Washington for four decades until it was sold around 2018, and the current owner acquired it in 2019.
Since that time the truck was disassembled and refinished in red over a brown and tan interior, and its 170ci Champion inline-six was cleaned, the cylinder-head gasket replaced, and the carburetor rebuilt.
The three-speed manual transmission was inspected, the fuel tank was cleaned, the fuel lines were replaced, and the fluids have been changed.
The electrical system was also overhauled, and a turn-signal system was added.
