Approximately 50k genuine Kübelwagens were used by multiple branches of the German military during WWII, but few survive today. Constructed on a 1969 Beetle chassis and powered by a recently rebuilt 1,300cc engine, this replica was commissioned from Myron Hill and Steven Bishop of Kubelkraft according to the seller, who has since been its sole owner and describes it as a street-legal attention getter. The vehicle recently spent a month on display at the Kansas City Automotive Museum and looks like a good candidate for further display, period reenactments, or use as a convincing film prop.
