This 1960 Datsun PLG221 Pickup is one of around 45 imported to the United States in 1960, all of which were delivered to the West Coast.

Equipped with a 1200cc “E” engine, this diminutive hauler retains many original details and has covered 78k miles from new.

While some surface rust and oxidation is present, the truck remains in solid and unrestored condition overall and is said to drive well.

The car has had just two prior owners and is sold with a clean California title.

Based on the Datsun 1000 sedan, the PLG221 pickup truck shared much if the sedan’s forward sheetmetal paired with a separate rear box.

Much of the paintwork could be original and shows well on the outer surfaces.

Wheels are the original 15″ items with correct hubcaps.

The interior of the bed shows well with minimal chipping or other evidence of wear and tear.
