This 1969 Merlyn MK 11A is an excellent race-ready example of Merlyn’s first Formula Ford racer.
The car was campaigned in SCCA competition from new and comes with a binder full of history and three logbooks from SCCA, SVRA, and CSRG.
It was restored by Bob Akins Motorsports in the 1990s and received a comprehensive mechanical overhaul in 2005 by with all rings, pistons, and bearings rebuilt or replaced.
Between 2011-2013 the car received further enhancements including a new fuel cell, rebuilt steering rack, new radiator, and more detailed below.
Powered by a 1600cc Ford engine, the seller says it is track ready and has no deferred maintenance, having always been raced regularly and kept in top shape.
