Our vendor’s Aunt Daphne bought the car new from Mann Egerton of Castle Street, Worcester in January 1974, the original purchase invoice showing that it cost the princely sum of £2,594 including an extra £38 for automatic transmission and another £38 for Sundym glass and a laminated windscreen.Aunt Daphne was to keep the car for the rest of her life and used it sparingly for local trips only, always keeping it tucked away in a nice dry garage when not in use.

Our vendor (her nephew), inherited the car in 2017 so it has been in the same local family from new, the V5C recording one previous owner.The original service book has 8 stamps up to March 1983, all by the same local garage, by which time the Stag had covered 28,017...
