Description 1966 Mini Mk1 Cooper S recreation; 1,380cc engine; restoration completed in March 2026, involving approximately 1,200 hours of labour and love DGL 94D was purchased by the current vendor in 1990 from a local Mini enthusiast, already prepared in rally specification.

The car was used in several local road rallies before being placed into dry storage when a Mk2 Rally Escort took precedence, with the intention of returning the Mini to the road when time allowed.

However, due to business commitments running a busy Mini specialist business, combined with family life and limited spare time, the Mini remained untouched in dry storage at the vendor's premises until February 2025.

Having semi-retired and with over 50 years of experience working with Minis, the vendor decided it was finally time to undertake a sympathetic restoration.

The car was completely dismantled and carefully assessed, with the aim of retaining as many original components and body panels as possible.
