Earls Court Motor Show car; raced at Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Goodwood; appears to be in the final stages of long-term restoration; vendor tells us the car was on the road and in use prior to being prepared for a re-paintBuilt on 1st October 1959, this MGA Twin-Cam is a particularly notable example, having been supplied new by University Motors of Piccadilly and used shortly afterwards as the Earls Court Motor Show car, a fact confirmed by the British Leyland Heritage Certificate on file.
Finished from new in white with black trim, it left the factory equipped with a heater, radio, cigar lighter, oil cooler and competition seats.The early history of the car is unusually well-documented.
University Motors, one of the most prestigious MG distributors of the period, supplied the car to its first owner, who retained it for more than 19 years.
