It wasn’t until June 1933 that Austin introduced a new sports/touring model, the EB Sports, known as the Type 65.This was followed by the more powerful EK Sports, known as the Type 75, in January 1934.

Both cars used the longer 6’9” wheel base, the names reflecting the claimed top speed of each model.Though name changes in July of ’34 reflected some minor changes in both models, the more sporting Speedy as it was then known, sold in smaller numbers than the more touring oriented Nippy.
