Powered by the correct 1125cc engine, the car has been in the current ownership since December 2022 and presents as a sound and usable entry into vintage motoring.Purchased from a Brightwells auction just over three years ago for £3,000 plus fees as a non-runner from a deceased estate, the Austin had been dry-stored and unused for approximately six years prior to acquisition.

Initial recommissioning involved removal, draining and treatment of the fuel tank, after which the engine started readily and ran smoothly.

Further mechanical attention has included an overhaul of the rear Hartford shock absorbers, refurbishment of the clutch to cure slipping, replacement of leaking rear hub seals and relining...
