Description Rare example of an early Bay Window Crossover Volkswagen Transporter; current owner 10 years; detailed usage log from 1979 - 2005; straightforward project The Crossover vehicles were only produced for less than 2 years (1971-72) with the early Bay Window body (half-moon intakes, small back lights and front indicators at the lower part of front panel next to the blade bumpers) and the improved suspension and disc front brakes of the later Bay Window.
This particular van is made even rarer as the roof has not been cut to fit a pop top roof.
This Camper has been owned by the current keeper for nearly 10 years and would make a superb project for anyone looking to spend a little time to make a really nice camper to their own spec.
Currently the vehicle is not running, but a lot of work has been carried out to the engine by the looks with new Solex carb, alternator and distributor.
