Description Just two owners from new, the current for 34 years, extensively restored by Tuthill Porche in the early '90s and lightly used since The 1300 Beetle was launched in 1966 and came with an increased power output of 50bhp.
A change in gearing improved the acceleration and helped to keep sales buoyant.
This particular Beetle was first registered in February 1972.
With just two owners throughout its 51 years, the vendor purchased the car in 1989 when he was just 18 years old and has kept it ever since – some 34 years! Used as a perfectly reliable daily driver for many years, in the early '90s it had an extensive restoration completed by Francis Tuthill of Tuthill Porsche.
It has been kept garaged since the restoration and only used on occasion.
Presenting rather nicely both inside and out, the paintwork is still in good condition, as are the bumpers.
