Description Fully restored in the late 1980s and lightly used since; rare model, believed to be one of only 16 surviving; featured in The Automobile magazine in the late 80s The Swift company of Coventry made their first car in 1900 and continued with light cars and cyclecars up until the First War as well as some larger models.

The 10hp P-Series came out in 1926 and was gradually improved, gaining a 4- speed gearbox and 4-wheel brakes.

The P5 was the last of these cars before the company went bust in 1931 and it is believed that only around 16 still survive today.

First registered in August 1931, LXS 638 appears to be the second to last P5 made.

It was found in the late 1980s in sad but sound condition and was fully restored by a previous owner to a high standard, as documented in many bills and photographs on file.

It was subsequently featured in an article in The Automobile magazine which is well worth reading.
