In 2014, the owner used the Beetle chassis, suspension and gearbox as donor parts to produce what you see today, roughly replicating the shape of the famous Type 35 Bugatti.

Paperwork on file shows us that the fiberglass body was made by Alan Hartswell of Classic Replica Cars, costing in the region of £1,000.

It even has heated seats...

The V5C on file still states 1,285cc (now 1,600cc) but does recognise it as a Volkswagen CRC (Classic Replica Car).

We are told that the engine was rebuilt when installed with new barrels and heads, bearings, carb and distributor and it has only covered around 8,600 miles since, as shown by the MOT history.
