Well-built and spacious, it was powered by a 3-litre straight-six engine that developed 178bhp and made it the fastest Opel to date, capable of 134mph and 0-60 in 9.5 seconds.
First registered in January 1985, this Monza is the top spec GSE model which had Recaro sports seats, digital LCD instruments, sports suspension, Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox (rather than the standard 4-speed), limited slip diff plus a boot spoiler.
