Description Lovely long-wheel-base Ford commercial; imported from France by Tuckett Brothers in 2007 and fully restored; only three owners since; super condition throughout Launched in 1917, the TT was the truck version of the immortal Ford Model T with a longer 125” wheelbase, strengthened chassis frame and worm drive and crown wheel rear axle.
Initially only available in rolling-chassis form, from 1924 it was available with a factory-made body.
Tough as old boots, it famously ‘weighed under a ton but could carry a ton’ and was widely used by the American, British and French armies in WW1 as a cargo truck, ambulance and staff car.
It was replaced by the Ford Model AA truck in 1928, by which time some 1.5 million had been sold.
Dating from 1924, this fine TT was imported from France as a rolling-chassis by Model T guru Neil Tuckett in 2007 and registered here as BF 4435.
