Description From a deceased estate; Paul Banham conversion; unfinished restoration; manual overdrive gearbox; new interior; much work done Starting life in 1977, this Daimler is an unfinished restoration – although in the right hands, there is not far to go.

Originally a Coupe, we believe it was transformed to a convertible by renowned specialists, Paul Banham Conversions in the 1980s.

Allegedly, this is one of only two XJC conversions that Banham did.

The car has been consigned from a deceased estate so there are very few details on file, but we understand that he most likely first acquired the car in c.2016 with a view to completely restoring it.

As a collector of many vehicles and keen to keep as many on the road as possible, it was sent off to Hungary for an extensive overhaul.

A USB stick on file shows the extent of work that was needed and it is clear a lot of bodywork was corroded and had to be cut out and replaced.
