AI Listing Summary

This is a rare 1939 MG VA Saloon, one of only 1,259 ever made. It features an older restoration with a repainted exterior (originally black, now green), a 'super' interior, and a well-maintained 1,500 cc engine, and the listing says it 'starts first time and selects gears nicely'.

Condition

6

The car has undergone a body restoration, including new rear wheel arches and door post work, and has been repainted. While the interior is described as 'super,' the car also exhibits patina consistent with its pre-war age. Recent work includes new wheels, tires, and door cards, but the car's age and previous restoration suggest it is not in pristine condition.

He gifted it to his friend Mr Humphreys of Usk who was to be its registered keeper for the next 50 years.

He enlisted Mike and Tony Hurst of Bristol to restore the car, a process which took place between 1992 and 1995.

Photos on file show a major body restoration, including new rear wheel arches and much work to the door posts - no doubt the ...
